Sustainable Innovation: Finding the right balance between energy, climate and competitiveness
Brussels - June 24th 2014

Event summary:

On June 24th 2014, 3M will host its 3rd Annual Sustainability Event, demonstrating how technology can be applied to contribute towards the EU’s energy and climate goals. The hard focus for the day will be on how 3M – and its partners – can demonstrate quantifiable benefits – economic (cost savings), environmental (energy savings/C02 reductions and social (job creation/preservation).

During the event 3M will host a number of mini-exhibitions, demonstrating its range of solutions that advance business and industry, enhance buildings and homes and improve the quality of life of citizens and consumers – all with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.

There will also be two workshops which will highlight examples of where technology from 3M and from its partners and customers has been used with a clear return on investment, in the form of cost savings and/or carbon reductions.

The first workshop will focus on technology for business and industry, the second on solutions for buildings and homes.

Either side of the workshops we will invite keynote speakers to talk more generally about the role of technology in supporting the EU’s sustainability objectives and in improving the lives of its citizens.
